Mobile County, Alabama
Chickasaw: licensed, bonded, and it is always Paul.
Mobile County runs from the delta down to the Gulf, and the plumbing reflects it: cast iron in the older parts of Mobile, newer slab construction out west, and a water table that keeps everybody honest about drainage.

Plumbing in Chickasaw
Serving Chickasaw since 2023 out of Wilmer. One truck means fewer jobs a day and more attention on each one. He finds the cause rather than the symptom, because fixing the symptom is how a job comes back.
Chickasaw gets the full service list and a van equipped to finish most of it without a second appointment. See the full service list, or send Paul a message.
You get told what the work takes before it starts. If a repair will hold, that is what gets quoted. Paul is the one who would have to come back if it does not, which is its own kind of accountability.
Across Mobile County the soil is the story. Sandy loam over clay moves, and pipe that moves is pipe that eventually leaks at a joint. Pictures of the work are in the gallery.
What Mobile County plumbing runs into
Cast iron is on a clock
A lot of pre-1975 Mobile County drains went in as cast iron, and cast iron does not fail suddenly. It rusts from the inside until the channel is running through scale rather than pipe. A camera shows you where a given line sits in that process, which is the difference between planning a repair and reacting to a backup.
The storm drain is not the sewer
Heavy rain here reaches the sanitary line through cracked pipe, bad cleanout caps and failed joints, not through the storm system. If a drain only misbehaves during a downpour, that is groundwater getting in somewhere and it is findable.
Slab versus crawlspace changes the whole job
A leak under a slab is located by listening and isolating zones and fixed through one small opening. The same leak in a crawlspace is a different afternoon entirely. Which one you have decides the method before anybody quotes it.
Plain language about what it costs
You find out what the work involves before it starts. Not a range that moves once the tools come out, and not a number that depends on what else can be added to the ticket. If there is a cheaper option that will hold, you hear about it, and if the cheap option is going to fail you hear about that too.
Why the one-truck thing matters here
There is no dispatcher deciding which technician you get and no commission structure deciding what gets recommended. The person who quotes the job is the person doing it, so there is nobody to hand a bad call to. That is the whole reason this shop stayed one truck.

Common calls
- Plumbing InspectionsA straight read on what you’ve got, urgent and not.
- New Construction PlumbingRough-in and finish plumbing for new builds.
- Emergency PlumbingWater where it shouldn’t be, or no water at all. Call first, talk second.
- Leak DetectionFinding the leak without tearing up the house to look for it.
- Leak RepairThe joint, the line or the fitting that’s weeping, fixed properly.
- Drain CleaningCleared with the right cable for what’s actually in there.
How to tell what you’re dealing with
Knowing which of these sounds like your house makes the first call a lot shorter.
If the pressure dropped everywhere at once
That is upstream of the house: the meter, the main shutoff, a pressure regulator that failed, or the well pump and its tank.
If one side of a faucet is weak
Hot-only or cold-only weakness is almost always a supply stop, a cartridge or a clogged aerator screen rather than anything in the wall.
If you hear it in the walls
Hammering when a valve closes is pressure with nowhere to go. Running water with nothing on is a leak or a toilet that never stops filling.
If the water smells or stains
Iron, sulfur and sediment are water-quality issues, not plumbing failures, though they shorten the life of everything they pass through.
“This is the 3rd or 4th time I have used LT Drain and I have always been happy. This time was a complete removal and replacement of a grinder pump and electrical box.”
Things worth doing yourself
None of this needs a plumber. It’s the short list that prevents the calls nobody wants to make.
- Supply lines Braided stainless connectors on toilets and sinks have a service life. If they are older than a decade, they are overdue.
- Cleanouts Know where your outside cleanout is. When a main backs up, finding it fast is the difference between a clean job and a mess.
- Washing machine Turn the washer valves off if the house will be empty for a week. A burst washer hose is one of the most common big water losses.
- Sump pumps Pour a bucket of water in the pit and watch it cycle. Twice a year, before the season you actually need it.
- Garbage disposal Cold water, not hot, and let it run a few seconds after the grinding stops. Hot water melts grease into the line downstream.

What areas do you cover?
Mobile, Baldwin and Washington County, out of Wilmer, roughly a fifty mile radius.
Will you try to sell me a replacement?
No. There is no commission structure here and no quota, so if a repair will hold, that is what you get told.
Do you work on older homes?
Yes. A lot of the housing stock here is older, and cast iron, galvanized and polybutylene all behave differently. That is diagnosis work, which is the part that matters.
